It all started in the year 2001, when Arvinder Singh and Arjinder Singh opened the Tanishq store at Jalandhar, under the company called Karnail Singh & Sons, KSS. This venture proved to be a resounding success. Thereafter KSS opened one store after the other in different cities and brought different brands under its umbrella. Today KSS operates seven multiband lifestyle stores with approx. annual sale of US$2.4 million. After the success in India, the promoter of KSS collaborated with his son-in-law, Shivi Grewal to bring these brands to USA. The American Indian community which is 5 million strongly been deprived of Indian brands in jewellery. Sensing this market opportunity, Griffin Enterprises, LLC is created which established the first Tanishq store in USA at Oak Tree Road, Iselin, NJ 08830. The success of this venture opened the door for establishing first Caratlane store adjoining to the Tanishq store in New Jersey. Both these brands are loved by South Asian community in the Tri-state area of New York.
